The upcoming subcompact crossover has been caught missing all camouflage – as it prepared for a photo shoot, meaning we’re also pretty close to the actual introduction date.
Citroen delivered a new generation C3 about a year ago and it’s now ready to double up on the quirky C4 Cactus-inspired design with the arrival of the crossover version. The two sister models show a keen family resemblance, but the subcompact crossover should come with roof rails as well as the higher ride stance, together with some protective plastic body cladding. The supermini’s contrasting orange accents are also there but oddly enough the signature side air bumps have not transitioned onto the Aircross – maybe these are offered as optional equipment. There are also more refined differences between the two cars, including a redesigned rear bumper for the Aircross.
There are no revealing images of the interior just yet, but it’s safe to assume the C3 interior will mostly carry unmodified. In addition, we can also pit the C3 powertrains inside the C3 Aircross, with PureTech gasoline engines with 68, 82, and 110 horsepower, backed up by diesel versions of the BlueHDi variety packing 75 and 100 hp. We also expect the C3 Aircross to become available with lots of personalization options – to match the funky design that has become a staple of Citroen nowadays.
