The BMW M4 Cabrio has been recently caught on camera by our spy photographers while it was being tested in cold weather.
With its solid roof brother making its public debut as we speak, during the 2014 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, the BMW M4 Cabrio is getting ready to be unveiled, but before this will happen, the carmaker has to make sure that everything is in its place and working just like it should. The model in question has been recently spied while it was being tested in cold weather and its light camouflage is allowing us to see all of its lines, including its folding hardtop.
Just like the BMW M3 Sedan, in its new generation, and the M4 Coupe, the M4 Cabrio will take its power from the same 3.0 liter TwinTurbo inline six-cylinder high revving engine. The total output produced by the unit stands at 431 HP (317 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque. Power will be sent to the rear-wheel drive through a seven-speed M DCT transmission, with launch control. Additional details on the new BMW M4 Cabrio, including its performance, are limited for the moment and will be announced close to its debut.
