This prototype should be quite the treat if it ever reaches series production – a high-performance electric vehicle that should pack one megawatt of power (1,000 kW / 1,360 hp), just like the fantastic Koenigsegg One:1.
The prototype was actually caught testing not long ago at an undisclosed racetrack location in the
United Kingdom doing some much needed testing – so we have a little bit of hope the model will actually turn out to be real. The two-seater coupe has supercar-worthy styling with stylish body and a huge rear spoiler for great downforce at the rear axle. According to a teaser design sketch, which was released not long ago, the NextEV supercar should also pack great looking gullwing doors.
The reports from at home in China also claim the performance to be fabulous – the sprint from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) should be resolved in less than three seconds while the top speed should stand above the 186 mph (300 km/h) threshold. An exclusive build – just six examples at one million dollars per unit – the Shanghai-based NextEV startup has made a name for itself competing in the Formula E green competition.
