The new generation of the Hyundai Tucson has been spotted recently in South Korea, in a parking lot.
After it has made its debut during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, in a premiere, just a month ago, the brand new 2016 Hyundai Tucson is being highlighted once again, this time with the help of some images which are showing it in the metal, for the first time. The 2016 Tucson is coming with a more premium appearance, with new LED headlights, a chromed hexagonal grille, some exterior features inspired by the Santa Fe, soft touch materials in the cabin, electrically assisted tailgate which is allowing easy access to the 513-liter trunk, optional heated and ventilated front seats, a large touch screen display and several other tweaks.
The 2016 Hyundai Tucson is also getting a 1.6 liter naturally aspirated engine under its hood, which is capable of producing a total output of 135 HP (99 kW), connected to a 6-speed manual transmission. There is also a 1.6 liter four-cylinder turbocharged version, which is bringing the total output to 176 HP (129 kW). This is connected to an optional 7-speed dual clutch transmission. Diesel lovers can order the 1.7 liter CRDi turbo diesel, with 115 HP (85 kW), along with the 2-liter which can be had with 136 HP and with 184 HP, connected to the optional 6-speed automatic. The 48V Hybrid Tucson is getting 136 HP from the diesel and 14 HP from the electric motor, to a total output of 150 HP and 413 Nm of torque.
