The Porsche Panamera has reached its second generation, and the model is fresh off the presentation stage – but it appears the Germans couldn’t wait any longer to unleash it in traffic.
The Panamera has not only reached an all new generation, officially presented at the end of June, but it’s also the fastest luxury sedan to have roamed the Nurburgring Nordschleife – aka Green Hell – with a time of just 7 minutes and 38 seconds. This is not the first time the Panamera has been spotted actually, and this time around we have a Sapphire Blue Metallic unit caught out an about the streets of Granada, Spain. We think this is a Porsche-owned example – just look at the number plates, which indicate the German region of Ludwigsburg, which is just a half hour drive from the company’s Stuttgart headquarters.
Porsche has revealed so far only the Panamera 4S, 4S Diesel and Turbo versions, so we’re expecting to just keep seeing spy shots of the model or examples caught in traffic. For example we’re expecting an entry-level version, the GTS or the plug-in hybrid option. And let’s not forget about the mighty Turbo S flavor – which might then go around the German track in search of breaking its own record. There’s even word of a flagship model that could borrow the hybrid technology from the 918 Spyder and make do with around 700 hp.
