Spotted – All new 2017 Jeep Compass caught without camouflage image

The new generation Jeep Compass, acting as a replacement for both the Jeep Compass and Patriot models has been caught virtually undisguised in Brazil while participating in a photo session.

The current generation Jeep Compass and Patriot are eager to retire and make way for the new generation Compass, and it appears the author of the images – Ricardo Meier from – has confirmed the name indeed appears on the driver’s door of the spotted vehicle, involved in a photo shoot in Brazil. The pics were snatched during the day in Sao Paulo, with the near-production prototype in Limited trim – the official reveal is expected to take place before the end of the month in Brazil. The model will first be seen here because this is also where production will take place.

As far as the styling is concerned, we can see it sport numerous influences from the Grand Cherokee instead of the Cherokee, with the C-SUV (Project 551) as it is known internally sporting a contrasting black roof and also an elegant chrome strip on the side and in the back under the glass. Technical details haven’t been officially released yet, but the rumor mill indicates the use of the same Small Wide Platform – used by the Renegade and Fiat 500X – so it’s safe to assume it will also share the engines, gearboxes and all-wheel drive in the higher specification trims.
