It’s been just a few days since BMW pulled the wraps off the M2 Coupe and now the model was spotted on public roads.
Not a day can go by without us mentioning the new BMW M2 Coupe at least a few times and the newest article on the high-performance two-door compact car is showing us an example caught in the open, recently. The model in question was finished in that gorgeous looking blue shade and it was equipped with what seemed to be the black wheels, in the M specific design. The image posted above has been taken by a who has spotted the M2 from the comfort of his own Porsche Cayenne.
The BMW M2 Coupe is making use of a 3.0 liter six-cylinder inline twin turbo engine. The unit is capable of putting down no less than 370 HP (272 kW) at 6,500 rpm and 465 Nm (343 lb-ft) of torque, available between 1,400 rpm and 5,560 rpm. Power is being sent to the rear-wheel drive through a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed M DCT. With the manual gearbox, the car needs 4.5 seconds to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) and with the automatic, time drops to 4.3 seconds. Top speed has been electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph) in both cases but this can be raised to 270 km/h (168 mph) with the M Driver’s Package. The BMW M2 Coupe will begin its deliveries in April, 2016, and its price is believed to stand at just over 56,000 euros.
