Spotted – Fiat 124 Spider with no camouflage on its body image

The first images with the upcoming roadster made by Fiat, the 124 Spider, have ended up on the web, showing us exactly how this will be looking like ahead of its official reveal.

Well, we definitely found them and we will return them to Jalopnik, as our source has managed to obtain the very first images with the upcoming Fiat 124 Spider. The model in question has been rumored several times until now and it appears to be ready for the assembly line. However, before this will happen, Fiat seems to be preparing an official photo shoot and video with the brand new roadster.

Initial rumors were telling us that the new Fiat 124 Spider will be based on the new generation of the Mazda MX-5 and it will be getting a unique styling. However, the images are standing proof that there will be a lot of similarities in design between the two roadsters. The 124 is bringing longer overhangs at both ends, a dual-port grille, larger and more rounded headlights, integrated boot lip, a pair of taillights which seem to have been borrowed from Maserati, in terms of looks anyway, and the overall height, which seems to have been increased. The interior design is screaming once again Mazda MX-5 while under its hood this is expected to get a 1.4 liter petrol burner and the same 1.75 liter turbocharged unit from the 4C. Rumor has it that the new Fiat 124 Spider will be debuting at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show, in November.
