An example of the recently unveiled McLaren 675LT has been spotted recently in Spain while it was being driven on public roads.
The McLaren 675LT is the newest vehicle to be signed by the British brand but this will be put in the shadows in the next few days because the entry-level sports car 570S will be introduced, at the 2015 New York Auto Show. The range topping version of the 650S, the 675LT (Long Tail), has been spotted recently in La Bisbal del Penedes village, in Catalonia, Spain, and it has a lighter body than the regular version of the supercar, getting some important upgrades and an even more powerful 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine under its hood.
The 675LT is 100 kg (220 lbs) lighter, at 1,230 kg (2,711 lbs), producing an extra 25 HP (18 kW) and 22 Nm (16 lb-ft) of torque, to a total of 675 HP (496 kW) and 700 Nm (517 lb-ft) of torque. This is enough to allow it to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.9 seconds, 0.1 seconds faster than the 650S, and to reach 200 km/h (124 mph) from a standstill in 7.9 seconds, half a second less than before. The new McLaren 675LT will be produced in just 500 units and it is reminding us of the F1 GTR. The supercar has been officially presented to the public during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, back in March, and this isn’t the first time when it has been seen cruising the streets.
