It may be long gone for production but it hasn’t left our hearts so spotting a hot version like this one cannot simply be ignored.
The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is one hot ride, despite the fact it has left production quite some time ago in order to make room for its successor, the AMG GT, which is smaller, less powerful and cheaper. The supercar has managed to win the hearts of most petrol heads, with its long hood, gullwing doors and impressive performance so spotting a slightly updated one made us want to share.
The exotic vehicle has been caught on camera in Dusseldorf, Germany, and it has a matte yellow finis covering its entire body. The rear end has been updated and we can now see the blacked out taillights. We cannot ignore its modified front fascia either, or the seven double-spoke wheels, with a silver finish, covering the yellow brake calipers.
If any extra horsepower have been squeezed from its engine remains unknown for the moment but we will remind you that the standard model is packing a 6.2 liter V8 engine, producing a total of 563 HP (420 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque. In the SLS AMG GT, the unit was rated at 583 HP (435 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque, while the Black Series came with 622 HP (464 kW) and 635 Nm (468 lb-ft) of torque. The engine was connected to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, sending power to the rear-wheel drive.
