The new generation of the Kia Optima has been recently spotted out in the open ahead of its public debut which will be taking place at the 2015 New York Auto Show next week.
After releasing the first official image with the 2016 Optima just a day ago, the model in question is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of some revealing photos which are showing it on the road. The vehicle has been caught on camera on its Korean Domestic Market, undisguised, and it is probably getting ready to reach dealerships in the Asian country right after its debut, next week, at the 2015 New York Auto Show.
The 2016 Kia Optima is bringing an evolutionary styling, being inspired by the SPORTSPACE Concept. We can notice the new large alloy wheels, front bumper gills, sculpted hood, chrome effects and a completely redesigned rear end which is reminding us of the Mazda6. The interior has been updated too and there is now more space offered with better quality materials and a lot of technologies which couldn’t be found on its predecessor. Rumor has it that it will soon be joined by a wagon version and the engine lineup is expected to include the 1.6 liter turbo gasoline, the 2.4 liter naturally aspirated and the 2.0 liter turbo, in the U.S. spec, while in Europe the model will come with a 1.7 liter CRDi, updated, on the diesel-electric version. More details on it are limited for the moment and will be announced in New York.
