The brand new Porsche Boxster Spyder has been spotted in the flesh in its home country, quietly sitting on the side of the road.
It may have been officially presented to the public just a couple of months ago but this is actually the first time when the model is being spotted on the road. The particular example has been finished in an appealing yellow shade, coming with the blackened headlights and contrasting black wheels. This has been caught on camera in Weissach, Germany. The Porsche Boxster Spyder can easily stand out thanks to its Cayman GT4 sourced front and rear bumpers, to the unique engine cover and let’s not forget the roof.
The model in question has high performance brakes too, taken from the 911 Carrera, 20 mm lowered sports suspension system, a bespoke lightweight soft top which is partially manually operated, a 360 mm in diameter steering wheel, the eliminated air conditioning and radio control units in order to cut down on weight and several other goodies. The most important feature is definitely found under its hood, where the 3.8 liter six-cylinder engine is resting. This is capable of producing a total output of 375 HP (276 kW), enough for a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint made in just 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 290 km/h (180 mph). The official starting price of the drop-top stands at 79,945 euros, on its home market.
