The brand new BMW M2 Coupe has been spotted in the metal wearing a Sapphire Black finish on its body.
Have you been missing the news on the BMW M2 Coupe? Well, if so, despite being at least a couple every day since it has been unveiled, we are now bringing the first one today, which is showing us the high-performance two-door compact car live in its Sapphire Black version. The model in question will become available, besides the Black Sapphire, in the already known Long Beach Blue and with the Mineral Grey and the Alpine White as well.
Regardless of the exterior color, the cabin will be getting the black Dakota leather, exclusively, along with the Alcantara inserts on the door panels and brake lever, the embossed M logos, the carbon fiber trim and several other goodies which should place enough difference between this and the previous range-topping version of the 2-Series Coupe, the M235i.
The best part of the new BMW M2 Coupe is definitely found under its hood where the Bavarian based automaker has made use of a 3.0 liter inline six-cylinder M TwinPower Turbo engine, which is capable of producing a total of 370 HP (268 kW) and a peak torque of 464 Nm (343 lb-ft). Power is being sent to the RWD through either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed M DCT. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), the manual needs 4.5s while the automatic can do it in 4.3s. Top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph).
