The US electric automaker has been choke full of novelties this spring – the Model 3 unveil, the Model X base version update and the Model S sedan facelift.
Just a week has passed since Tesla Motors took the wraps off the upgraded Model S and the eager fans have already started spying on the model – we now have a walkaround to judge on all of the exterior cosmetic modifications. Since the grille is not really something an electric car needs, Tesla has eliminated it from every model it has in the stable – with the Model S now falling in line with the new design imposed since the apparition of the Model X crossover. So far, the very subtle “moustache” front end has triggered some controversy among Tesla fans – some call it simpler and cleaner and others calling it “boring”. People will need to see the car in real life, because as always the official pictures don’t always tell the whole truth – sometimes for the better but other times for the worse.
The adaptive full LED headlights, which are brand new bode well though, while the subtle changes to the side and rear might leave something to desire in terms of actual improvements. The same goes for the cabin, which needs a keen eye to spot the differences – two new wood trims and a medical-grade HEPA air filter sourced from the Model X.
