Chrysler has recently announced that SRT has begun taking orders for the 2013 Viper, with the model becoming available from 97,395 USD.
After it was officially presented to the public during the New York Auto Show, the 2013 SRT Viper is entering our news once again, this time with the automaker announcing that orders for the sports car can now be placed at SRT dealers across the country. The 2013 SRT Viper is coming with lightweight components, with a carbon fiber roof, carbon fiber hood and carbon fiber deck lid. The cabin is getting high materials, leather wrapped Sabelt racing seats, 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment system, digital instrument cluster and more.
Power to the 2013 SRT Viper is being provided by an 8.4 liter V10 engine which is producing a total output of 640 HP (649 PS / 477 kW) and it has a peak torque of 814 Nm (600 lb-ft). The 1,521 kg (3,354 lbs-) sports car can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in the “low 3-second range” and it can hit a top speed of 331 km/h (206 mph). The quarter mile is done in approximately 11 seconds. Prices for the 2013 Viper start at 97,395 USD while the Viper GTS can be bought from 120,395, with the $1,995 destination charge included.
