The North American based automotive giant Chrysler Group LLC is planning to introduce a more powerful version of the brand new SRT Viper sometimes next year.
After the new generation of the SRT Viper has been officially unveiled just a few months ago, the carmaker is already planning a high performance version of the model. The so-called SRT Viper ACR is expected to make its way onto the market in 2014. The model will get an aerodynamic body kit with a front spoiler, a massive rear wing and some other tweaks, which will include a sport tuned suspension, reduced ride height, beefier anti-roll bars, high performance brakes and more.
The SRT Viper ACR will also weigh less and it will ride on bespoke Pirelli tires. The model is rumors to get a power-to-weight ratio similar to the one of the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, of 5.2 pounds / HP. The SRT Viper ACR will probably get the 8.4 liter V10 engine under its hood, which is expected to produce more power than the 6.2 liter V12 found under the hood of the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. Additional details on the SRT Viper ACR are limited for the moment and will be announced in 2014.
