The South Korean based automaker Ssangyong has recently presented the first official images with the new Korand Sports pick-up, which is already available on the local market.
According to the car manufacturer, the Ssangyong Korando Sports is actually the production version of the SUT-1 concept which was officially presented to the public at last year’s Geneva Motor Show. Besides that, the Ssangyong Korando Sports is also a replacement for the old Actyon Sports, which has been severely criticized for its design. The new model, Ssangyong Korando Sports, has been described by the carmaker as an LAV, which stands for Leisure Activity Vehicle, and, to be honest, the crossover is better looking than its predecessors.
The Ssangyong Korando Sports is powered by the 2.0 liter e-XDi200 engine, which is developing a total output of 155 horsepower and it has a peak torque of 360 Nm. Power is being sent either to the rear wheels or all the wheels, according to the type of traction chosen by the customer. Even if the new Ssangyong Korando isn’t what you might call a small vehicle, the model is burning an average of 6.4 liters every 100 km and it’s also Euro5 compliant.
