SsangYong has announced that the final production version of the SUT 1 Concept, the Korando Sports utility pick-up, will go on sale in the United Kingdom this October.
According to the South Korean based automaker, the SsangYong Korando Sports utility pick-up will arrive in the United Kingdom this October, when its future customers will be able to buy it for approximately 20,000 GBP (not official). No details on the pricing of the model have been announced yet by the company’s communications director Steve Gray said that the Korando Sports will be “extremely competitive”.
“This is more a passenger car with pick-up versatility. Consequently, it offers refinements that few of our competitors can match”, said the COE of SsangYong Motor UK, Paul Williams.
The SsangYong Korando Sports is coming with a 2.0 liter e-XDi active diesel engine, which is developing a total output of 153 horsepower (155 PS) and it has a peak torque of 265 lb-ft (360 Nm), available between 1,500 and 2,800 rpm. The unit will be mated to a standard manual transmission but a six-speed automatic will be offered as an option. The model will be available in two trim levels, the SX And the EX and it will get optional all-wheel drive.
