SsangYong Rexton gets new range-topping version image

SsangYong has recently announced a new range-topping version of the Rexton, which has been called the Rexton W.

The brand new SsangYong Rexton W is the newest addition to the company’s lineup and this is the range-topping variant. According to the South Korean based automaker, the model in question is coming with some significant changes compared to the EX and these include the updated instrument cluster, the new multi-function leather wrapped steering wheels, the beige-grey leather for the door trims, seats and matching carpets and it is also getting some other tweaks.

“We are continually looking for ways to reinforce the SsangYong value proposition and this new Rexton W ELX adds a number of significant enhancements at very little extra money. This highly competent 4×4 just got even better!”, said the CEO of SsangYong Motor UK, Paul Williams.

The Rexton W ELX is also coming with the LED daytime running lights which have been integrated into the headlights, the heated rear seats, satellite navigation system, auto dimming rearview mirror, front parking sensors and the new 18-inch Diamond cut alloy wheels. As far as the engine goes, the company says that the 2.0 liter turbo diesel is found under its hood and it is capable of 155 HP at 4,000 rpm, with a peak torque of 360 Nm, available between 1,500 rpm and 3,000 rpm. The unit can be connected to a 6-speed manual or to a 5-speed automatic, which has been sourced from Mercedes-Benz. Prices for the new SsangYong Rexton W ELX start from 27,995 GBP.
