SsangYong Tivoli going to Geneva image

SsangYong will be making the European premiere of the new Tivoli at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, after being introduced a month ago at the 2015 NAIAS, in Detroit.

The newest addition to the SsangYong lineup is a sub-compact crossover called the Tivoli. This is basically a rival for the Nissan Juke, Peugeot 2008, Opel Mokka, Renault Captur, Chevrolet Trax or Ford EcoSport, amongst others, and it has been based on the X100 platform, developed by the Mahindra owned company, and it has been influenced by two concept cars, the XIV Adventure and the XIV Air, shown last year in Paris. The B-segment crossover has an aggressive front and rear bumper, black plastic wheel arches, LED daytime running lights integrated into the headlights and several other tweaks.

The interior design of the new SsangYong Tivoli has received features such as the dual zone climate control, the Bluetooth connectivity, the infotainment system, the rearview camera, the seven airbags and so on. As far as the engine goes, a single unit will be offered at this moment, the 1.6 liter e-XGi 160 petrol burner. This will be producing a total output of 126 HP (93 kW) and 157 Nm (116 lb-ft) of torque, which will be connected to a manual or to an automatic transmission. The fuel economy will be standing in at 8.1L / 100km and 8.3L / 100km respectively. SsangYong hasn’t announced an official launch date for the Tivoli or it starting price at the moment.
