SsangYong Tivoli officially announced for Geneva image

The SsangYong Tivoli will be officially presented to the public next week, during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, in a world premiere, as the company has recently announced.

The newest addition to the sub-compact segment for crossovers is the SsangYong Tivoli. The model in question will be making its public debut next week, at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, on the 3rd of March, as the carmaker has recently announced, and it will be offered for sale across the globe, Europe included, a couple of months later. The vehicle is taking its name from the Italian town near Rome, which has a reputation for style and it is known for the cultural heritage and beauty.

The brand new SsangYong Tivoli has an appealing exterior design with sharp lines and it has been based on the X100 platform, developed by the Mahindra owned company. The model has been influenced in its looks by the XIV Air and XIV Adventure, shown last year in Paris, and it is packing aggressive front and rear bumpers, black plastic wheel arches, LED daytime running lights which have been integrated into the headlights and so on.

Its interior design is bringing features such as the infotainment system, the Bluetooth connectivity, dual zone climate control, seven airbags, rearview camera and more. The engine lineup offered at this point includes a single unit, the 1.6 liter e-XGi 160 petrol, which is capable of producing 126 HP (93 kW) and 157 Nm (116 lb-ft) of torque, connected to a manual or an automatic transmission. The SsangYong Tivoli will be offered for sale globally starting from this May.
