And yes, they will be brought to the 2015th edition of the Frankfurt Motor Show, this month.
SsangYong is getting ready for the 2015 IAA with two concept cars called the XAV-Adventure and the XLV-Air. The first one is a fresh interpretation of the Korando and it will probably act as a preview of the fourth generation of the model. This is believed to come out sometimes next year, but details on it haven’t been released at this point. The vehicle has been described by the South Korean based automaker as being aimed towards young people who are looking for an off-road capability and maximum drivability from their rides, so expect a production version.
Besides the XAV-Adventure, SsangYong will also bring the XLV-Air Concept at the same 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. This will be offering us a glimpse of the seven-seat version of the Tivoli, which is again rumored to make its public debut sometimes next year. The model in question will be getting a longer wheelbase in order to accommodate the two extra rear seats, along with a larger trunk capacity. Just like its already available 5-seat brother, this vehicle will be getting a 1.6 liter turbo gasoline burner with 125 HP or a 1.6 liter turbo diesel engine under its hood, producing 112 HP. The two units will be getting a 6-speed manual or an optional 6-speed automatic transmission. FWD will be offered as standard but AWD will come at an additional cost. More details on the two models are limited at this time.
