SsangYong has officially pulled the wraps off the XAV Concept at the 2015 Seoul Motor Show.
SsangYong is known for revealing a lot of concept cars and over the years we have seen a fair share of models but sadly, very few have materialized. The newest one to be officially presented to the public was the so-called XAV Concept and this has been introduced at the 2015 Seoul Motor Show. The model in question is a compact SUV with a boxy shape which has been designed to appeal to those preferring the boxy and angular shape.
The new SsangYong XAV Concept is bringing the canvas loop, the electronic air suspension system, the smart motion control system, which is capable of modifying the suspension and other characteristics which have been based on the road conditions, the wheels which have been wrapped in run-flat tires and several other tweaks. The one-off vehicle is coming with a 1.6 liter conventional engine, which is backed up by an electric motor, taking its juice from lithium-ion batteries. Power is being sent to the e-4WD system but no performance details have been announced at this time. We are not sure at the moment whether SsangYong will put the XAV Concept into production in the near future. Additional details on the model are limited at this time and will probably be announced during a future automotive event, where it will most likely be brought.
