The chief officer of SSC (Shelby Super Cars), Alan Leverett, has recently announced the official starting price of the Tuatara, which has been set at 1,3 million USD.
The SSC Tuatara has a single thing on its mind, which is to become the world’s fastest production car, stealing the title away from the mighty Bugatti Veyron and after it has made its debut not too long ago, the model is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of the company’s chief officer, Alan Leverett, who has recently announced its official starting price. According to Leverett, the SSC Tuatara will be priced at 1,3 million USD once it will become available to its future customers.
The SSC Tuatara will be powered by an impressive 6.9 liter twin-turbo V8 engine, which is producing a total output of 1,350 HP (1,007 kW) and a whopping 1,733 Nm of torque (1,280 lb-ft) when using 91 octane fuel, but the new power unit can develop as much as 1,700 HP (1,268 kW). The SSC Tuatara will start its deliveries in either December, 2013, or January, 2014. Additional details on the model are limited for the moment and will be announced close to its launch.
