SSC North America has recently announced that the Aero XT will get an ultimate edition soon, which will celebrate the production end of the supercar.
The SSC Ultimate Aero XT will hit the market soon in order to celebrate the end of production of the hypercar and the reason why SSC will stop making this model is because the Tuatara will be launched in the near future, which is promising to unleash an impressive 1, 350 horsepower. But the SSC Ultimate Aero XT can’t be ignored either because the supercar’s limited run is getting 1,300 HP.
Power to the SSC Ultimate Aero XT is coming from a huge 6.9 liter twin turbocharged V8 mid-engine, dual intercooled, which is developing a total output of 1,300 horsepower, just like we said above, at 6,800 rpm, mated to a seven-speed transmission with paddle shifters which is sending power to the rear-wheel drive. The SSC Ultimate Aero XT weighs 1,270 kg (2,800 lbs) and it can produce 1,004 lb-ft of torque (1,359 Nm).
The SSC Ultimate Aero XT can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.65 seconds before reaching a top speed of 439 km/h (273 mph). Jarod Shelby, the company’s founder, is planning to develop only five units of the hypercar and each one of them will get a specific paintjob which SSC won’t use in the future. No word on the pricing of the SSC Ultimate Aero XT has been announced yet.
