We’re pretty much everybody universal Star Wars fans but it seems the seventh installment can’t be here faster – and this is because today pretty much everything is branded (from dog food to cars) and screams Disney’ wants our money.
But never mind such trifle thoughts because among all these mindless marketing ideas there are those that actually make sense – such as the tie-in fleet of Star Wars-theme models that promote both Fiat Chrysler Automobiles performance models and the seventh installment in the saga – Star Wars: The Force Awakens. They are going to be on patrol this weekend around the menacing streets of Los Angeles and among them we found a Charger SRT Hellcat and a Challenger SRT Hellcat that look to the Dark Side (for cookies probably) and have a First Order Stormtropper-inspired livery. The pair have a typical white body with black elements and tinted windows. And they both feature the usual supercharged 6.2-liter V8 mill screaming out 707 bhp (527 kW) and 650 lb-ft (880Nm) of torque – the Charger SRT Hellcat will sprint to finish the quarter mile in 11 seconds flat and will top out at 204 mph (328.3 km/h). Beat that you speeder bike.
The other element of the promotion has the Viper ACR painted black and featuring a Kylo Ren-inspired finish. If that’s not enough then you have a minimalistic cabin treatment and bespoke 19-inch alloy wheels with unique Kumho Ecsta V720 high-performance tires. The Dark Force wielder will have at its disposal the 8.4-liter V10 engine churning out 645 hp (480 kW) and 600 lb-ft (812 Nm) of torque, Brembo carbon ceramic brakes as well as a racetrack oriented adjustable suspension with Bilstein coilover racing shocks.
