The full reveal of the BMW M2 Coupe will be made later on today, in just a few hours, and inautonews.com will bring you the first details and images with the high-performance model.
BMW is close to pulling the wraps off its newest performance model, the M2 Coupe. This will be the spiritual successor of the 1M Coupe and it will be a reminder of the first ever M3, the E30. The compact car, with its two-door body style, will be coming with an updated body, with all the necessary M adjustments made to it, which will not only make it more aggressive and easier to spot, but they will also significantly improve its aerodynamics, compared to the standard 2-Series Coupe.
A lot of safety gizmos will be added to the car, along with an updated cabin which will bring the new sports seats, the leather wrapped steering wheel and gearshift lever with the M badges, the M logos on various parts of the interior and much more. Expect the M specific wheels as well, along with the updated steering, new brakes and improved suspension system. Under its hood, we expect a 3.0 liter inline six-cylinder engine which will be more powerful than the one used on the current range-topping variant, the M235i. Power will be sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed M DCT automatic transmission. Top speed will be electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph). The full unveil will take place at 6PM (EST) today, October 13, so make sure you pay a visit to find out all there is to know on the performance car.
