The Stig will be driving the all-new Aston Martin Vanquish for Top Gear Live next month.
The new season of Top Gear might take a while to be released but that doesn’t mean that the crew isn’t working on Top Gear Live and this autumn the Stig is getting ready to get behind the wheel in the all-new Aston Martin Vanquish in what the producers have named the “biggest, boldest and most daring Top Gear Live ever staged in the UK”. The Top Gear Live will take place between the 25th and the 28th of October in Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre.
“The Stig will be tearing around our brand new in-door track in a selection of unreasonably priced supercars and us three will be trying not to set each other on fire inside our most dangerous stunt show ever”, said Jeremy Clarkson.
As a quick reminder, the Aston Martin Vanquish is coming as a 2+2 or as a 2+0 model and it’s powered by a large 6.0 liter V12 engine, which is developing a total output of 565 BHP and 620 Nm of torque (457 lb-ft), mated to a Touchtronic 2 six-speed automatic transmission which is sending power to the rear-wheel drive. The Vanquish can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 4.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 183 mph.
