Stock BMW M5 F10 runs quarter mile in 11.92s image

A stock BMW M5 F10 has been recently taken to a drag strip where it managed to run a quarter mile in just 11.92 seconds at a top speed of 119 mph.

The newest version of the BMW M5, the F10, is one impressive ride and it can offer almost everything from comfort to the daily dose of adrenalin but how fast is it on a quarter mile? Well no one answered this question until now, even if a lot have asked it, but thanks to the guys at the Bimmer Post, we now know that the stock BMW M5 F10 can finish the quarter mile in just 11.92 seconds at a top speed of 119 mph.

The impressive BMW M5 F10 is powered by the company’s 4.4 liter V8 engine, which is developing a total output of 560 horsepower, between 5,000 and 6,000 rpm, and it has a peak torque of 502 lb-ft of torque, available from as low as 1,500 rpm. The unit is mated to a seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission Drivelogic, with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters, which is allowing the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 250 km/h. The vehicle is rated at 16 mpg combined, 14 mpg in city and 20 mpg on the highway, burning 6.3 gallons of fuel every 100 miles.
