Subaru announcing two concepts for Tokyo, VIZIV Future and Impreza 5-Door image

Two brand new concept car will be unveiled by Subaru at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show. These are called the Impreza 5-door and the VIZIV Future.

The Subaru VIZIV Future (Vision for Innovation) Concept is bringing the shape of a crossover. This will be previewing the future production cars of the company and it is bringing an evolutionary styling, with the company’s grille, the C-shaped headlights with the LED technology, the LED fog lamps, the underbody protection suggesting that it can be used on the off-road too. The rear end is bringing the same shapes and it has a clean look for the tailgate as well.

The interior design is bringing a minimalistic layout, with a massive tablet-like display in the middle of the dashboard, a flat top and bottom steering wheel, sports seats and an improved practicality. The new concept crossover signed by the Japanese brand is adding a hybrid powertrain. This is combining a turbocharged gasoline burner, which has been taken from the Levorg, along with the improved electric motor mounted at the rear. The all-wheel drive layout is now enabled and it is allowing the VIZIV Future a reduced fuel consumption and a smooth and linear acceleration.

Besides the VIZIV, Subaru will also pull the wraps off an Impreza 5-Door Concept. This is also previewing a production model which is believed to roll off the assembly line sometimes in 2016. Only sketches with the new one-off vehicle have been released so far but this looks to have a very appealing design and it looks quite sporty, with its roof mounted spoiler, sloped roofline and low ride height. The model is also bringing the C-shaped LED lighting clusters and the bulging fenders as well. No details on what we may found under its hood have been released at the moment but chances are these will be made public at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show, in Japan, where they will be making their public debut.
