A Subaru BRZ with the STI badges on its body has been recently caught testing on the famous German track, the Nurburgring.
Rumors were saying that the Subaru BRZ will get a hot turbocharged version ever since the model has been officially presented to the public in its final shape and after some concept cars made their debut with a hotter engine and even with the STI badges on their body, like the one presented at the 2012 AIMS (Australian International Motor Show), the carmaker is apparently closer than ever to put the sports car into production.
The images posted below have been provided by Motor Trend and they reveal a prototype of the Subaru BRZ fitted with STI badges, which has been caught testing on the Nurburgring. The fact is that no one know anything about its performance just yet, except for the ones who are working on the project, and we don’t even have a clue if the model will be turbocharged, supercharged or will just get a remapped ECU and some other minor tweaks. Additional details on the model are limited for the moment and are expected to be announced sometimes next year.
