The Japanese based automaker Subaru is keeping everyone in the automotive media focused on its BRZ, and after the new sports car has been teased, official images of it have leaked on the internet and then some details have been announced, a magazine scan revealing the model has caught our attention.
Thanks to the FT86club.com we now have an idea of where will the Subaru BRZ stand when talking about its price and according to the magazine scan it seems that the new sports car will be priced at 30.000 EUR when it will hit the European showrooms in May, 2012.
The 2.0 liter boxer engine which will power the Subaru BRZ is expected to develop a total output of 210 HP, which is actually 10 HP more than the FT-86, while its peak torque will stand around 230 Nm which will be available at 4.000 rpm, enough to push the sports car from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.0 seconds, with a top speed of 225 km/h or 140 mph.
A more powerful version of the same 2.0 liter boxer engine is expected to be introduced on the STI version of the BRZ, which will come later, and the sports car will hit the United States dealerships next year at an estimated price of 25.000 USD, which is less than what the European version will cost.
The new Subaru BRZ will be officially presented at the Los Angeles Auto Show and the vehicle will preview the production version which is going to be unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show in December.
