Subaru hybrid production model to debut in New York

A hybrid production version with the Subaru logos on its body is expected to make its public debut during the 2013 New York Auto Show.

Besides modifying its popular sports car, the BRZ, Subaru is also developing new models and in order to stay “in touch” with its competitors, one of those models will be a production version. Rumors are saying that a hybrid vehicle, which should hit the market later on this year, made by Subaru, will be officially presented to the public on the 29th of March, during the 2013 New York Auto Show. The model in question will not only be sold in Japan but it will be launched in the United States too.

The Subaru hybrid vehicle will use an in-house hybrid system which might follow the same path as the Hybrid Tourer Concept unveiled a few years ago in Tokyo, but if you would like to run on electric power alone, you should turn your attention into something else, because this model will not be able to do that. Unfortunately we don’t have any additional details on the final production version of the hybrid car made by Subaru so we will have to wait for the 2013 New York Auto Show in order to meet it.
