The Japanese based automaker Subaru is ruling out a compact crossover aimed towards the Nissan Juke and other vehicles in the segment.
Despite the fact that reports have emerged over the past few months which were saying that Subaru might produce a compact crossover in the nearby future, the Japanese based automaker is ruling out such a model. According to the guys from Auto Express, a small crossover will not be produced by Subaru so the carmaker will not be rivaling models such as the Nissan Juke, the Ford EcoSport, the Opel Mokka, the Chevrolet Trax, the Peugeot 2008 or the Renault Captur, amongst others.
Out source is saying that the company will not be producing such a model because of the lack of investment, despite US sales stand at over 500,000 units. However, Subaru is apparently prepared to invest in a motorsport return and one of the competitions in which it will be present will be the Le Mans endurance racing, so stay tuned for more details on the subject once the carmaker will be making a public statement, possibly over the following months.
