The 2015 Subaru WRX STI-based race car has been officially unveiled ahead of its public debut which will take place during the 2014 NAIAS, in Detroit, next week.
The Japanese based automaker Subaru has released the first image with the 2015 WRX STI-based race car. The model in question is basically looking like its production brother but it has received a more aggressive look, thanks to the racing livery, the front apron, the extended side skirts, the rear apron, the large rear wing, the hood scoop, the redesigned front and rear bumpers, the extended fenders, the new rims wrapped in high performance tires and so on.
The 2015 Subaru WRX STI racer is also getting a new chassis, a high performance braking system, new suspension system, new exhaust system and its engine should be a 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged boxer. The interior design of the racer has been completely stripped out, in order to save weight, but just like in every other race car out there, we can see a racing seat, with a racing harness system, a racing steering wheel, a roll cage and so on. More details on the 2015 WRX STI race car are limited for the moment.
