Car manufacturer Subaru has announced the plan to separate WRX and Impreza, so fans of the Impreza WRX STI should better hurry up to showrooms.
After the separation between Skyline and GT-R, at the debut of the car in 2007, we are now witnessing another devastating decision for the car’s fans world-wide.
“Apart from a few nuts and bolts, every part of the WRX will be unique. Even the engine and body. Obviously the WRX’s platform will be inherited from the new Impreza, but it will be radically modified and significantly shortened”, as it was related by motortrend.com.
According to the car manufacturer, the next WRX will take a new path of development and it will not be launched until 2014, while the new Impreza will debut this year at the New York Auto Show.
The new Subaru WRX will arrive in showrooms in 2014 with a starting price around 20.000 euros.
