The Japanese based automaker Subaru has recently announced the launch of the WRX RS40 Limited Edition in Australia, where the model has been priced from 44, 490 AUD.
According to the car manufacturer, the Subaru WRX RS40 Limited Edition is actually 4,500 AUD more expensive than the standard WRX, but the model in question is adding some interesting features, such as the front lip spoiler, the rear spoiler, flexible tower strut brace or short shift gear assembly, which were all developed by STI, the carmaker’s in-house performance division. The cabin is getting Recaro sports seats with Alcantara inserts and an RS40 numbered build plate.
Subaru says that all versions of the WRX RS40 Limited Edition will only be produced in the sedan body style. The cars will be finished in WR Blue Mica and they will get the RS40 decals and the 17-inch gold finished WRX alloy wheels. This will probably be one last attempt to place the outgoing WRX into the spotlights because the next generation of the car has already been previewed back in April, during the 2013 New York Auto Show, in a concept form. Its production version is said to be unveiled at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, in November.
