The new Subaru WRX STI is now available for order in Australia as the model in question has been launched by the company.
The 2014 Subaru WRX STI is coming from 49,990 AUD, which basically means 10,000 AUD less than the model it’s replacing. The vehicle has received the STI badging to stand out from the WRX, the 18-inch wheels or the 18-inch BBS alloy wheels for the Premium version, the LED headlights with halogen high beam, the rain sensing wipers or the LED daytime running lights.
The cabin of the model is getting the driver’s knee airbag, out of the total of seven airbags, some soft touch surfaces, a race-inspired steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, some red highlights, sport seats finished in a mix of Alcantara and leather with perforated leather on the Premium versions, some heated seats, a power driver’s seat, push-button start, smart key, sat-nav, rearview camera, entertainment system, Harmon Kardon sound system and others.
Power to the 2014 Subaru WRX STI is being provided by a 2.5 liter engine, which is rated at 221 kW at 6,000 rpm and 407 Nm of torque, available at 4,000 rpm. The unit has enhanced ECU, AVCS (Active Valve Control System) and it can allow the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. There are three driving modes available, the Intelligent, the Sport and the Sport Sharp, along with a 6-speed manual transmission.
