The Japanese based automaker Subaru has recently announced its plans to introduce the XV Crosstrek Hybrid to the 2013 New York Auto Show.
The Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid is the newest creation signed by the company and this is also the brand’s first petrol-electric production model. According to the car manufacturer, the vehicle will be officially presented to the public on the 27th of March, in a premiere, during the 2013 New York Auto Show. The Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid is said to be the most fuel-efficient and lowest-emitting AWD hybrid crossover in the United States, where the model will be launched later on this year.
Subaru says that the XV Crosstrek Hybrid is powered by a four-cylinder Boxer engine, mated to an electric motor and a battery pack, a combination which is promising to improve the fuel efficiency of 7.0L / 100 km of the non-hybrid XV and its 162 g/km of CO2 emissions. Unfortunately we don’t have any more details on the Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid for the moment so we will have to wait for the 2013 New York Auto Show to open its gates on the 27th of March, in order to find out more about it.
