Subaru has recently announced that the XV crossover has been launched in Ireland and the model is available at a starting price of 34,995 euros.
After the new Subaru XV has been launched in Australia and England in late 2011 and early 2012, the Japanese crossover has finally arrived in Ireland too, and the model is coming pretty well equipped. According to the car manufacturer, the Subaru XV for Ireland is available with features like the power-folding door mirrors with LED turn signals, leather wrapped steering wheel and gearshift knob, heated front seats, cruise control, rear view camera and 17 inch alloy wheels, all of these for a total cost of EUR34,995.
The 2012 Subaru XV is available in Ireland with the 2.0 liter diesel engine, which is developing a total output of 147 horsepower, at 3,600 rpm, and it has a peak torque of 350 lb-ft. The unit is mated to the company’s six-speed manual transmission which is sending power to the Symmetrical all-wheel drive system.
As a reminder, in other countries, besides the 2.0 liter diesel unit, the Subaru XV is coming, in the entry-level “S” version, with the 1.6 liter engine and its 114 horsepower. Transmission choices are either five- or six-speed manual, but a six-speed CVT will also be available. Later on, a third engine will be added to the lineup.
