After presenting the XV concept at Shanghai in April last year, the Japanese auto maker Subaru has announced that the car will hit the production line as main competitor for the Qashqai and it will be officially unveiled at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September.
The Japanese manufacturer has decided to launch a sketch of what the XV will look like, a teaser, keeping the minds of the people working in the automotive media concentrated on discovering new things on the car.
The picture released by Subaru shows part of a bonnet, part of a front grille, part of a front bumper, part of a right front wing and part of the right front wheel. If we should analyze the picture to see how the new rival for Nissan Qashqai will look like then we would see that it apparently has no brakes. Or the designer got bored with drawing the car and probably said: “OK, I’m going to have lunch”. But not before he drew the fog lights. Or one fog light.
The car which will be presented at the Frankfurt Auto Show is expected to keep the design and engine of the XV Concept presented at Shanghai Auto Show, which means that its power will come from a 2.0 liter four-cylinder SUV, connected to a CVT transmission with Symmetrical all-wheel driver.
