Nobody scream here, but Ford and its iconic Mustang are taking advantage of both the summer heat and the newly introduced 2018 facelift version of the legendary pony car.
The 2018 Mustang brought with itself lots of interesting upgrades, and among them owners can also select three new colors, headed by the Orange Fury and complimented by Kona Blue and Royal Crimson. To give a proper introduction to the new color, Ford has decided to partner with ice cream company Coolhaus for a special series ice cream sandwich that was inspired by the special shade. Ford says Coolhaus’s Orange Fury ice cream sandwich has “zesty orange-flavored ice cream” tucked in between two orange-icing-covered Vanilla Whoopies.
And best of all, the Mustang-branded wrapper is also good for the summer heat because it’s edible, being made out of potato wafer paper. Coolhaus is also going to be driving around New York City a Mustang-branded ice cream truck to promote the Orange Fury sandwich. Unfortunately, you’re only getting the 2018 Mustang in the fall, though you’ll be able to play with all the options once the configurator is live on July 25. We’re hopefully also going to know the technical details of the 5.0-liter V8 and 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder – aside from the optional introduction of the new 10-speed automatic.
