The Japanese based automaker Suzuki is apparently planning to put the Authentics Concept into production in the second part of next year.
After it was introduced during the Shanghai Motor Show, back in April this year, the Suzuki Authentics Concept is being placed into the spotlights once more, this time with the help of a report, which is saying that the model will receive a production version in the second part of 2014. According to the guys at auto.163.com, the vehicle will be produce locally, by the Changan-Suzuki joint venture and it will be specifically developed for the Chinese auto market. Its price will be set between 100,000 and 150,000 yuan and it will compete with the Chevrolet Cruze or the Nissan Sylphy.
The Suzuki Authentics Concept was originally said to offer a preview into an SX4 sedan and rumors on it hitting the production line have been around since the end of spring when the model in question was believed to finally hit the market in 4,600 mm in length, 1,815 mm in width and 1,390 mm in height, riding on a 2,750 mm long wheelbase. As far as the engine goes, this should receive a 1.6 liter gasoline burner under its hood, mated to a CVT. More details on its final production form are limited for the moment.
