The Japanese based automaker Suzuki is planning to put the Authentics Concept into production next year, through its joint venture with Changan.
Suzuki didn’t officially announce its plans to offer a production version of the Authentics Concept just yet, but according to the Chinese automotive media, the model will see daylight for the first time sometimes next year. According to the guys at Auto Home, the final production version of the Suzuki Authentics Concept will be developed with the Changan joint venture. Rumors are saying that the Authentics Concept might actually preview an SX4 sedan, but one thing is for sure, the production car will enter the C-segment.
The Suzuki Authentics, in its final production form, will be 4,600 mm long, 1,815 mm wide and 1,390 mm tall, riding on a 2,750 mm wheelbase and it’s expected to get a 1.6 liter gasoline engine under its hood, a diesel engine, a 6-speed manual transmission and a CVT, amongst others. Additional details on the final production version of the Suzuki Authentics Concept are limited for the moment and will probably be announced close to the model’s debut. The concept car has been unveiled a few weeks ago, during the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show.
