The facelifted version of the Suzuki Grand Vitara has been recently launched in Malaysia, where the model can be bought from RM121,100.
According to the Japanese based automaker, the Suzuki Grand Vitara facelift is now getting a new Gaia Bronze Pearl Metallic color, a new front bumper, a different front grille and a new design for the 17-inch alloy wheels. The rear end of the facelifted Grand Vitara isn’t getting any changes and we can still see the prominent spare wheel housing. Another unique feature of the Grand Vitara is the sideways opening rear hatch. No mechanical changes have been made except for adding the brake override system, the same one found on the facelifted SX4 too.
The Suzuki Grand Vitara facelift is still powered by the company’s J20A 2.0 liter engine, which is producing a total output of 138 HP and it has a peak torque of 183 Nm, available at 4,000 rpm. The unit is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission which is sending power to the rear-wheel drive in standard. Prices for the Suzuki Grand Vitara facelift in Malaysia, which is imported from Japan, start at RM121,100 on the road, with insurance.
