The Hungarian division of Suzuki is celebrating the production of 2 million cars in its 20 years of existence.
According to the manufacturer, the car with the two million number “on it” is a Swift model from the new generation, which was driven off the production line by Hungary’s President of the Olympic Committee, Zsolt Gyuli.
Celebrating 20 years of production, the 2 million cars manufactured at the Estergom plant comes as “a bonus” for Hungary’s Suzuki Division. The Executive President of Suzuki said that this is a reason for the plant’s employees to be proud.
Suzuki first came in Hungary in 1991 and the first model ever to be produced in this country was “the grandfather” of the Swift, then in its first generation. Since then, at the Estergom plant, besides all generations of Swift manufactured, also models like the Wagon R, Ignis, the SX4 or the Splash were produced.
