Suzuki milestone: 3 million Swift units sold
The Japanese based automaker Suzuki has recently announced a new milestone after 3 million units of the Swift have managed to find new owners.
The new Suzuki record comes at just two years after 2 million Swift cars have been sold worldwide and this is quite an important number considering the fact that the small hatchback isn’t available in one of the biggest auto markets, the United States. The Swift is one of the best selling cars in Asia too and back in 2012, Maruti Suzuki has managed to sell a total of 186,797 units of the Swift in India, making the model the second best-selling car locally.
23 percent of all Suzuki Swift vehicles have been sold in Europe, 45 percent have managed to find new owners in India and 13 percent have been sold in Japan. The Suzuki Swift is truly a global model and it’s available in 125 countries. The new generation of the Suzuki Swift is being produced in China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Hungary.
