The Japanese based automaker Suzuki has pulled the plug in the Kizashi and on the Grand Vitara.
Suzuki is no longer manufacturing the Kizashi and the Grand Vitara. The announcement hasn’t been made official just yet but it has been confirmed by a company’s spokesperson to Just-Auto, putting an end on rumors which were already announcing this. The cancellation of the two models isn’t such a big surprise considering the fact that the Kizashi has been confirmed as a mistake by the carmaker when it was launched and that a successor for the vehicle was said to have slim chances of catching the production line.
The more popular Grand Vitara will not be produced anymore either as the aging model, which has been on sale since 2005, was said to not get a replacement. The third generation of the model was being produced in Japan, in Spain, in Iran, Indonesia and Ecuador and it was offered in two body styles, with three and five doors. As far as the engine lineup goes, five petrol units and a diesel burner were available for it, connected to a 4-speed automatic, 5-speed automatic or a 5-speed manual.
