The Japanese based automaker Suzuki has recently unveiled its XA Alpha Concept at the 2012 New Delhi Auto Expo.
According to the car manufacturer, the Suzuki XA Alpha Concept is actually based on the Swift model and it has all the chances of hitting the production line by 2014. While Nissan’s Juke supremacy in the B-segment is close to an end, and with European rivals coming in pretty fast like the Peugeot 2008, Opel Mokka or the over-seas Ford Ecosport, another Japanese carmaker is getting ready for the battle. As you can see from the image posted above, the Suzuki XA Alpha Concept is a small crossover which is coming with a prominent front grille, massive wheel arches, front fender vents, a dual exhaust system and 19 inch alloy wheels.
“India is set to become one of the top automobile markets of the world. This may become evident as early as the next Delhi Auto Expo. Maruti Suzuki will lead India’s automobile growth and evolution by strengthening its compact car portfolio, entering new segments and creating new product categories. The Concept XA is designed for a market of customers with a young urban lifestyle. This Concept showcases the unified R&D efforts of Suzuki and Maruti which will be a big asset for us in India in the Future”, said the managing director and CEO of Maruti Suzuki, Shinzo Nakanishi.
Even if the Japanese based automaker is talking a lot in its official press release about the Suzuki XA Alpha Concept, we don’t actually know too much about it. Suzki only said that if the model makes it into production, by 2014, a variety of engines, including the K-Series petrol and the 1.3 liter DDIS diesel will be available.
