Tata Motors has recently pulled the wraps off its latest creation, an electric van named the eMo-C Concept, after opening a new engineering center in Detroit.
Everyone says these days that electric cars are the future and they don’t pollute but let’s not forget where electricity comes from and that the engine which runs on pure water isn’t anything new to engineers. But in a world where competition is everything, the Indian based automaker Tata Motors can’t stay aside and, in fact, it’s coming in pretty fast. Originally known in the Western world for the cheapest car in the world, the Nano, Tata Motors is now entering a new phase of development which involves electric vehicles.
The company’s first model is named the eMO-C and it’s a concept electric van which is expected to make its way onto the market and, if it does, Tata Motors says that it will be priced between 15,750 USD and 23,750 USD. The eMO-C Concept was inspired by the eMO EV Concept unveiled last year and it has three battery modules, which can support a range of 50, 100 and 150 miles, respectively. The concept car meets all safety regulations for the North American market so don’t act too surprised if you will see it in a dealership near your home soon.
